Yes, definitely! We highly encourage bringing family and friends to enjoy this experience.
Our facilities are designed for you and up to 5 family members to enter the ultrasound room and enjoy this experience in a comfortable way.
The baby’s position within the womb is the biggest obstacle we face with an uncooperative baby.
Baby’s face being on or near the placenta and/or uterine wall, umbilical cord in the way and baby refusing to move the arms and/or legs out of the way are obstacles that we may run into while trying to get images of your baby.
Your ultrasound technician has several tricks that are used regularly to try to get baby to move in these situations. Unfortunately, no ultrasound facility can guarantee perfect images of your baby, but we will certainly try our best!
Hydrate! Start increasing your water intake about a week before your scheduled appointment.
Wake That Baby Up! If allowed, drinking or eating something sugary about 15-20 minutes before your schedule session time can often wake your baby up for better images.
2D provides a flat, two dimensional, black and white image of your baby.
A 3D ultrasound will capture an advanced three-dimensional image allowing you to see clear and well-defined structures of the baby.
The latest 4D technology allows you to actually watch movements of the baby in a three-dimensional image.
Baby Bee 3D Ultrasound holds a team of qualified specialists that perform the 2D/3D/4D ultrasounds to ensure that the patient has a pleasant, safe and reliable experience. Our ultrasounds have no medical purpose; it is done so your family and you can share an unforgettable experience with your baby.
3D and 4D/HD ultrasound use the same frequency as your doctor uses in the normal 2D ultrasound. Ultrasounds have been used for over 35 years and there have been no proven side effects from its proper use. We strictly adhere to the FDA's standards.
We do not contact your doctor prior to the scan since this is an elective procedure. We do require however that you currently are under prenatal care and if you have any concerns, you should ask your doctor. Ultrasound technicians in general cannot make a diagnosis.
Unfortunately, insurance companies do not cover these types of elective ultrasounds since they are not done for medical purposes, and there are no medical reports given at the end of any session.
